Dr Christopher Chahoud

Dr Christopher Chahoud is a registered specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and has thirty-five years of clinical experience in dentistry and medicine. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Sydney in 1985 and after relocating with his young family to Brisbane, completed both his Medical and Masters degrees at the University of Queensland.

Dr Chahoud received his advanced surgical training at Westmead Hospital Sydney, Royal Newcastle and John Hunter Hospitals, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He commenced as a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in 1995 and has practices in the Brisbane CBD and Browns Plains.  He is an accredited Visiting Medical Officer at Sunnybank Private Hospital, Chermside Day Hospital and Brisbane Private Hospital at which he serves on the Medical Advisory Committee.

Dr Chahoud practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and his areas of expertise include wisdom tooth removal, orthognathic (reconstructive jaw) surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, facial trauma and oral pathology. Passionate about his discipline, he is actively involved in the lecturing and mentoring of undergraduate students and postgraduate trainees.

Chris is married with three adult sons and outside of work, keeps fit with regular tennis and gym workouts. He is a keen guitarist and plays in a band with fellow medical professionals.
